Primary Caregiver Grants

Support for ISME Members with primary caregiving responsibilities

Deadline has passed; it is no long possible to apply to a grant

ISME19 Primary Caregiver Grants

ISME has three types of (travel) grants available for ISME19, the ISME Society Travel Grant for ISME student members, the African Scientist Travel Grant, for attendees from Africa, and the Primary Caregiver Grant for ISME members with primary care giving responsibilities. The latter is meant to support those that would not be able to attend ISME19 otherwise, due to their caregiving responsibilities.

Eligibility
The Primary Caregiver Grants are intended for ISME members with primary caregiving responsibilities who wish to attend and present at
ISME Symposia. The grant will support the caregiver to facilitate their attendance at ISME19 by providing means to arrange replacement care for the family member(s) or partner who will remain at home, or when the family member(s) or partner is to join the caregiver.

Each grant will be between € 500 and €1000, depending on the situation of the caregiver.

The applicant must be the first and presenting author of an abstract submitted to the symposium.

Apply
Applications for The ISME Primary Care Giver Grants should include:

  • Applicants name and full contact details (full work address, email address)

You can upload your file when you submit your abstract.

  • Being awarded a Primary Caregiver grant does not automatically imply that you will be selected for an oral presentation at the conference.
