Join the virtual workshop!

ISME19 presents a two day workshop that will cover multi-omics methods relevant to microbial ecology studies with an emphasis on open-access tools and datasets. Barriers to multi-omics research include accessibility of computational infrastructure, technical knowledge to implement multi-software workflows, and resources available to help with both. The open-access KBase platform (kbase.us) enables participants to analyze public data using cutting-edge tools, including those developed by Colorado State Microbiome (CoSMic) Network, and connect it to the sample metadata supported by the National Microbiome Data Collaborative (NMDC).

The workshop will run 16-17 Aug 2024 (Fri/Sat) prior to ISME19 (18-23 Aug 2024), at Stellenbosch University, Biomedical Research Institute, Tygerberg Campus in Cape Town. The workshop will be hybrid over Zoom, with 30 ISME scholars selected for in-person attendance, and virtual registration available to anyone interested.
